Part D, provides prescription drug coverage for Medicare participants. These plans are provided by private companies approved by Medicare. The premium for Part D coverage varies by the plan selected.
How Do I Get Medicare Part D Coverage?
There are two ways to get Medicare Part D:
- Standalone, if you only have Medicare Part A and Part B coverage, or Parts A and B with a Medigap plan, or if you have a PFFS Medicare Advantage plan.
- Included with other types Medicare Advantage plans.
